My Role: Event Marketing Lead & Social Media Strategist

As the Event Engagement Coordinator for the Strong Youth Project, I led the digital marketing strategy for our largest annual event—the SYP Conference. My role focused on planning and executing a content-driven Instagram campaign to boost awareness, drive attendance, and reinforce the brand's mission of empowering youth through holistic, research-based content. I managed all social content creation, coordinated video production with speakers and influencers, and aligned messaging across platforms to maximize engagement.

1. Social Media Strategy:

  • Developed a social media content calendar for Instagram leading up to the SYP Conference.

  • Strategically timed speaker spotlights, hype videos, behind-the-scenes content, and countdowns to build momentum.

  • Used reels and stories to boost engagement, growing reach by 73.9% 

  • Created video content featuring athletes, professionals, and doctors with educational and empowering messages tailored to Gen Z.

2. Branding Consistency:

  • Ensured all visual assets (colors, fonts, video styles) aligned with the SYP mission—holistic, research-based, empowering.

  • Designed thumbnails, story covers, and post templates to maintain a cohesive brand image.

3. Engagement Metrics:

  • Achieved a 9.8% increase in followers

  • Maintained a 5–7% engagement rate

  • 160.4% increase in accounts reached

  • Increased conference attendance or registrations through Instagram CTAs
